Ben's Background
Ben began his career as a software engineer and architect at Sprint. He worked there for 18 years and primarily focused on designing and writing software. Halfway through his Sprint tenure, a friend introduced him to the hardwood industry, and he bought into a franchise in 2004. That initial business took on several formations over the next couple of years and eventually led to the start of Kimminau Floors in 2011.
Ben Joins Acumen
Ben became part of the Acumen community in 2019 and is part of the CEO peer team, Ignite, led by Growth Catalyst Scott Stanger. Ben says having Scott as his growth catalyst has been invaluable.
"He has definitely sharpened, inspired, and challenged me several times over the past three years. Our Ignite team is also very strong, and the relationships are close enough that we can all be very candid and honest with each other. These resources have allowed me to navigate some pretty turbulent times when I joined three years ago, and I feel blessed to have these individuals in my life."
Ben relates to Acumen's value of "Challenging" the most because he's not afraid to challenge fellow Acumen teammates in monthly councils.
